What is "Blood-Letting"?

The process of blood-letting had its highest practice in the late Medieval and early Renaissance era. In those times, it was believed that the intentional cutting of human flesh could prevent, or even cure certain ailments. Most times it was considered a common practice for physicians of the period to use.

Treatment was administered differently in different parts of the world. The practice of blood-letting has no proven effects on the human body, but in certain instances, it is still used today.

"Blood-Letting" in Today's Sexual World

In recent years, the practice of blood-letting has taken from the medical world, and transferred into the world of sexual foreplay. In common practice, only one partner will be the subject of any actual cuts or incisions.

In nearly all instances involving blood-letting, the person who is enduring the process is a WILLING individual. Both partners are aware of the dangers and practice the process carefully.

The process of blood-letting is primarily to enhance or heighten sexual pleasure. The pain endured is generally minimal and only done for a short period of time. Also, all incisions are generally made with a VERY sharp, and sterilized medical instrument. However, they are some who choose to practice the method with other forms of sharp objects.

All cuts or incisions made usually are extremely shallow and short. The cuts are not meant to be fatal or otherwise dangerous. As previously stated, the pain is kept to a minimum and blood loss is also kept at a VERY small amount.

Any person thinking of practicing sexual blood-letting should be aware of the dangers that could result from taking part in it. Both partners should be fully trusting of one another and be very careful no to inflict any serious harm.
