Build a Vaporizer

Light Bulb Vaporizer, "CAUTION: Glass bulb will get very hot during use. Gloves are recommended"

A vaporizer is a device used to consume marijuana (or other vaporizable substances through breathing in vapor instead of smoke. Marijuana would be heated in a vaporizer until the active chemicals are in gaseous form but nothing is burned. Little or no smoke is produced by a vaporizer. But it is not unusual for the substance to become a little charred, though the substance should never emit large amounts of smoke: "a burning substance is bad".

A vaporizer made from a light bulb is a simple but very useful creation.

Materials: -light bulb (clear or not: the vaporizer will last longer if the bulb is of a higher wattage "60W-100W") -a bottle cap (2 litre soda bottles provide a perfect cap) -a round ink pen that is disassembled leaving only the round tube -hydrogen peroxide (this will help sanitize the bulb and remove opacity of the glass)

Step one: preparation of the lightbulb. (note: use of gloves is a good idea in case the glass shatters while in your hands) Break out the bottom [usually black] circle of glass framed by the bottom of the metal part of the light bulb. This part takes a little bit of patience: "this involves breaking some interior glass of the bulb, don't worry about this just as long as you are careful not to break the bulb of glass." Now all that should be left is a glass bulb attached to the metal at the bottom. This is where one would rinse the bulb out with hydrogen peroxide (salt also can be substituted).

Step two: construction of the cap and tube. With the bulb ready, you must prepare the bottle cap. Make a hole in the cap that will be a snug seal for the pen tube to be pushed through. The tube is what one would inhale vapor through. Make another hole on the cap, "consider this the 'carb', make it big enough to be able to clear the vapor somewhat quickly". Now cut the pen tube in half and push halfway through the hole, "it should be a pretty damn tight fit so air doesn't leek around it".

Step three: preparing for use. Now the bulb and cap are prepared. Do this AFTER you insert whatever desired substance into the bulb, Place the cap on the metal end of the bulb, "I would suggest wrapping the metal end with a small amount of electrical "black" tape. "This plastic to plastic contact creates a better seal". For an even better seal "which is always easier on your stash", wrap the crease between the bottlecap and the metal with a small strip of electrical tape one or two times, "you can just re-use the strip of tape to tape it up again".

To use this contraption: place whatever substance desired in to bulb, put cap on, "be somewhat gentle while doing this so the glass bulb does not crack". Cover the "carb" and suck through the pen tube to check for a good seal. Now the good part, i prefer covering the "carb" and pen tube opening with my fingers while i hold the tip of a flame about an inch away from the substance in the bulb, "make sure not to get to close with the flame, otherwise the substance will burn, and the idea is to make the substance put out a vapor that will eventually somewhat cloud up the bulb", once this happens, put your mouth on the pen tube and suck while releasing the "carb". Tastes fuckin' good doesnt it? The substance should come out somewhat charred and pretty much odorless compared to when it went in.

There will be some build up, and it probably will break after long use. Buildup in the bulb and pen tube is normal and is mostly usable THC when using marijuana. One way to get the buildup of THC out of the bulb is to swish some type of ingestible liquid around in the bulb and then drink the liquid being cautious of THC levels.

According to some data: when using a vaporizer the user receives around 75% of the THC in marijuana as compared to smoking it the user only receives around 40%. According to some people's opinions, the high is a more clear headed type of high when using marijuana in the vaporizer as compared to smoking it.

Better for your health? When vaporizing marijuana, the user is not inhaling all of the smoke involved with smoking marijuana, thus pretty much all that is inhaled is the chemicals found in marijuana, "granted they also have a vaporization point around THC's vaporizaion point".

1>you need to find a small table lamp, 60w maximum bulb(any more will be too hot)
2>a large jar eg. pickled gherkins, must fit over the bulb
3>a STEEL can from eg peas, must fit inside the jar

a>remove the lamp shade
b>drill a hole in the jar lid big enough to fit the bulb holder where the shade used to be ~30mm
c>drill 2 small holes beside the larger hole, 1 for the tube and 1 to supply air ~8mm
d>place the steel can upside down over the bulb
e>place some green on the bottom of the can
f>screw the jar upside down over the can lightly into the lid
g>switch on and about 5mins later youll have some lovely thc
(do a dummy run without any green to ensure no glues are left on the can, leave for about 1 hr to make sure)
